Our Mission
The Community and Family Historical Preservation Association's (CFHPA) goals are to preserve and maintain historical sites in Jasper County with a focus on the Dixie Freedom Colony, and to promote the social welfare of the community by combatting community deterioration and juvenile delinquency while lessening neighborhood tension through education, conservation, mentorship, and fellowship.

The Renovation & Preservation Fund
The Connection Center at CFHPA is the former home of the George Washington Carver Elementary School. While renovations and purchases for the upkeep of the site are needed, the overall structure of the buildings will not be changed. Please consider partnering with us through your contribution to The Renovation & Preservation Fund. Thank you!
CFHPA Annual Fund
Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and allow donations that we receive to be placed where we need them the most at that particular time. Your gifts to the Annual Fund go towards the upkeep and operations of CFHPA and make it possible for us to carry out our mission. Thank you for your annual gift of any size. All gifts are welcomed and appreciated.
The Preservation Circle Scholarship Fund
The Community and Family Historical Preservation Association, Inc. awards two (2) educational scholarships per year to eligible students who graduate from Jasper High School. The purpose of our scholarship is to encourage educational excellence and perpetuate the Dixie Community heritage. Also, the intention is that recipients of the scholarship will give back to the community by volunteering their time and mentoring younger students in the community. The scholarship can be used to offset books, tuition, meals, travel and other expenses associated with college. Please consider supporting this fund. Our youth are the future. Attending college is one of the most important steppingstones our youth can take towards a successful career path. For more details contact Avis McCray at amccray@cfhpa.org. Thank you!
Rent Event Space
CFHPA has two halls available for rent. The Grove (pictured below) maximum occupancy is 300 and The Carver holds 150. The Preservation Circle (TPC) is an elite group of individuals focused on four (4) key areas of CFHPA. The areas are: Advocacy, Education, Outreach, and Sustainability. It is our hope that each member of TPC will sign up to serve on one or more of the aforementioned committees. Members of TPC have the wonderful opportunity of assisting in the planning and implementation of The Preserving the Promise Gala. Members of TPC also evaluate and determine recipients of The Preservation Circle Scholarship. Join today and help shape leaders of tomorrow!
